WHAT
IS fEAST?
fEAST
is a rich blend of new visual art celebrating the diverse food heritage of
East London's Brick Lane, from the famous 24-hour Jewish beigel shops at one
end of the street to the country's most concentrated array of Indian and Bangladeshi
restaurants at the other.
Comprising
a range of disciplines, fEAST contrasts reportage-style glimpses into the
lives of each community's indigenous food-makers with the wider issues of
body image, appetite, desire and self-love.
